Privacy Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2026  |  Last updated: April 8, 2026

1. Overview

US Financial Calculators ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website located at usfinancialcalculators.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Site. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Site.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Calculator Data — We Do Not Collect It

The numbers you enter into our calculators are never transmitted to our servers. All calculations are performed entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. We have no technical access to your salary figures, loan amounts, tax information, or any other financial data you input. This data exists only in your browser session and is discarded when you close or navigate away from the page.

We cannot link any calculator result to any individual. We do not log, store, or transmit your financial inputs.

3. Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit our Site, certain technical information is automatically collected through standard web server logs and third-party analytics tools:

  • Log data: IP address (truncated/anonymized where possible), browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamp
  • Device information: Screen resolution, device type (desktop/mobile/tablet)
  • Usage data: Pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, calculator interactions (not the values entered — only the fact that a calculator was used)
  • Location data: Country and US state level only, inferred from IP address — we do not collect precise geolocation

This data is collected in aggregate and is used to understand site performance and improve the user experience. It is not linked to personally identifiable information.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following types of cookies and similar tracking technologies:

  • Essential cookies: Necessary for the Site to function properly. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): Help us understand how visitors use the Site. Collected anonymously. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
  • Advertising cookies (Google AdSense): Used to display relevant advertisements. Google may use information about your browsing history to personalize ads. You can manage Google ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.

You can control and/or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality. For more information, visit aboutcookies.org.

5. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how users use the Site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Site (including your truncated IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

We have enabled IP anonymization, which means Google will truncate your IP address before storing it. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the Site, compile reports on Site activity, and provide other services related to Site activity and internet usage to us.

Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. You may also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Google AdSense

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC. Google AdSense may use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our Site or other websites on the internet. This is known as interest-based advertising.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

For more information about how Google uses data from its advertising services, please see Google's Privacy & Terms.

7. Contact Form Information

If you choose to contact us through our contact form, we collect the information you voluntarily provide: your name, email address, and message content. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell, share, or use contact form data for marketing purposes.

We retain contact form submissions for a reasonable period to facilitate ongoing correspondence and then delete them. You may request deletion of your submission at any time by contacting us.

8. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To operate and maintain the Site and ensure its technical functionality
  • To analyze Site usage and improve our calculators, content, and user experience
  • To serve advertisements through Google AdSense
  • To respond to your inquiries submitted through the contact form
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for personalized marketing beyond the Google AdSense interest-based advertising described above.

9. Third-Party Disclosure

We share information with third parties only in the following circumstances:

  • Google Analytics: Aggregate, anonymized usage data for site analytics
  • Google AdSense: Cookie and tracking data for ad serving and personalization
  • Hosting provider (Vercel): Server logs and request data as part of hosting infrastructure
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or other legal process

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with certain rights regarding your personal information. Under the CCPA, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information is collected about you and how it is used
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you (subject to certain exceptions)
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information (note: we do not sell personal information)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights

Because we do not sell personal information, the CCPA's opt-out-of-sale rights do not apply in a traditional sense. However, we do disclose data to Google for analytics and advertising purposes as described above. To exercise your rights or submit a verifiable consumer request, please contact us. We will respond within 45 days as required.

11. European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may apply to our processing of your personal data. Our lawful bases for processing include:

  • Legitimate interests: Analytics to improve our Site
  • Consent: For non-essential cookies and personalized advertising (where required)
  • Contract: To respond to contact form inquiries

Under GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise these rights, please contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Please note that our Site is primarily designed for US users and US financial calculations. We do not specifically target EEA residents. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not have the same level of data protection as your country.

12. Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. We will take steps to delete such information from our records promptly.

13. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our Site is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Data Retention

We retain automatically collected analytics data in Google Analytics for 14 months before automatic deletion. Server access logs are retained for up to 90 days. Contact form submissions are retained as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and then deleted.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we may provide additional notice on the Site homepage. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any updated policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.

16. Contact Us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests related to this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us here. We will do our best to respond promptly and resolve any concerns.
